Leadership history of BGR Mining


Since its inception in 1988, BGR Mining has traversed a long journey of numerous projects. While planning is imperative, handling its execution in real-time requires guidance from the founders and senior members of the company. Here are the details about three people that form the core of the company:-




· B Girijapathi Reddy

B Girjapthi Reddy is the founder and former director of the company. The company is named after his initials. Initially, he focused on developing high-quality and sustainable engineering structures for Irrigation, Canal and Roads sector. He received success in the execution of large projects like Somasila and Telugu Ganga. The company forayed into the mining sector with several open cast projects in Western Coal Fields. His project planning and management skills introduced machinery in labor works in order to streamline multiple process and enhance the output. After retiring from the Board of his company, he dedicated his life to social work.

· Umapathy Reddy

Reddy co-founded BGR Mining in 1988. Current chairman and MD of the company, he succeeded B Girijapathi Reddy, the founder. Capitalizing on the vision of the founder with his individual inputs, Umapathy Reddy has emphasized and upgraded the technology used in mining procedures with the help of state-of-the-art machines. Combining that with the meticulous planning skills, BGR Mining surpassed every hurdle and delivered multiple projects well before the deadline.

· Sudhakara Reddy

Experienced in working with the Andhra Pradesh government, Sudhakara Reddy is a civil engineer and the current director of BGR Mining. He is well-known for his expertise in the execution of Open Cast Mining Projects with particular emphasis on cost controls and environmental issues. Financial strategy, equipment selection, on-time execution, and cost management have been streamlined under his guidance. He has been instrumental in introduction of policies, systems and continuous monitoring. Consequent revisions under his leadership have ensured client as well as workforce satisfaction.
